Scan and Synchronization
Periodically detect new videos from followed channels.
The scanner queries subscriptions, linked channels, and channels associated with archives.
Available Frequencies
- Every 30 minutes;
- Every hour;
- Every 6 hours;
- Every 12 hours;
- Once a day.
The Scan Now button triggers a manual scan. When the full scanner is disabled, VidArch can still perform a light scan of channels with auto-download enabled.
The scanner does not run in local mode. Avoid an aggressive frequency with a large list of subscriptions: this increases remote requests and the risk of rate limiting.
The automatic update of yt-dlp is separate; it is scheduled for Sunday at 04:15 when enabled.
